Meet Pia Jensen

My mom has had an eye for design ever since I can remember. We lived in Hawaii and, at that time, had limited resources. Mom spent many hours at the hardware or dry goods stores, sorting out ways she could complete her many DIY projects. Being the youngest of five children, I accompanied her on most of these excursions. She taught me to sew, and I created most of my high school and college clothing. I believe it was she who initially inspired my love for fabrics and design.

My father, on the other hand, was a doctor. I worked in his office, hospitals, and research labs throughout high school and college. I discovered that being a doctor was not my calling and ended up graduating with a degree in Economics from UCLA. Despite this, I have always had an appreciation for medicine, preventative healthcare, and medical research.

Post-college, I worked in sales and commercial property management and leasing. My duties included managing an 11-acre office industrial project and overseeing all tenant improvements, creating budgets, and leasing. These skills have carried over beautifully into my interior design business established in 2012.

Currently, I am a two-time cancer survivor and have spent a significant amount of time researching how stress and our environments affect our physical health. Fortunately, my prior background in research science has made it easy to digest the multitude of medical information available. My passion is to inform my clients and assist them in developing healthy, beautiful spaces where they can relax and do the things that matter most.
